Chinatown Gates Project Receives Highly Commended Recognition at the 2026 Heritage Awards

We’re proud to share that the Chinatown Ceremonial Gates project has received a Highly Commended recognition in the Interiors & Objects category at the 2026 Heritage Awards presented by the National Trust.

The award recognises the collaborative effort behind the iconic Chinatown Gates project for the City of Sydney, alongside project partners including GML Heritage, International Conservation Services, Rapid Construction, Henry Tsang OAM, IAS Logistics, Imperial Gardens, Xueqin Ye (Chief artisans), and China and Artisan of Stone.

This recognition highlights the importance of preserving and celebrating cultural heritage through craftsmanship, design, and community collaboration. The Chinatown Gates stand as a significant cultural landmark and symbol of connection within Sydney’s Chinatown precinct.

We are incredibly proud to have contributed to a project that has now been recognised at a national level and would like to thank everyone involved in bringing this meaningful project to life.
