Key scope:
- Off-site manufacture of eight custom modular, fully serviced, air-conditioned buildings
- Demolition and removal of existing guard and control room structures; installation of new platform services
- Modifications/additions to existing services
- Careful staged on-site installation and commissioning to new platform locations
Delivery model:
- Day and night shift teams across an eight-month build
- Off-site fabrication of buildings; factory rough-in by electrical and hydraulic teams
Collaboration:
- Planned with Laing O’Rourke and Sydney Trains to minimise station disruption
- Most on-site work conducted during short night windows when trains were not running
On-site logistics:
- Modular buildings brought to platform level via hi-rail, then positioned on custom skates and channels
- Final fit-out, service connections, and commissioning completed during night and day shifts
Outcome:
Efficient, disruption-minimising delivery of complex modular infrastructure within a heritage rail precinct
