Rapid partnered with the Central Station Metro project team to deliver Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability initiatives. Privacy divider screens were manufactured by Rapid and installed by Rapid and Laing O’Rourke personnel to dormitory accommodation areas managed by the Salvation Army at their Foster House men’s shelter in Surry Hills. All time, labour, materials and workmanship were donated free of charge. Facility staff and clients were overjoyed with the result, commenting on the exceptional quality, workmanship and finish. Users of the facility are afforded significantly increased levels of privacy, commenting that the screens “looked like they were an original feature which had always been there.” The screens give them a real sense of personal security, dignity and ownership.
