This project was scheduled over a 4-day long weekend utilising rolling 12-hour shifts in order to minimise the impact upon ramp down-time; Rapid completed the project a day early, commencing on a Friday morning, with both ramps and station concourse fully operational and returned to the client early the following Monday. Prototype and in-situ slip-testing of the tile surfaces was completed. Demolition of the existing ramp surfaces was fully encapsulated using noise- and dust-impervious shielding. Pedestrian access to the concourse and platforms was maintained throughout the work.
