Rapid was engaged by Wesley Mission to construct a new storage facility warehouse at their Employment Services Facility in Rydalmere. Elements of the build included concrete piers, a concrete raft slab, structural steel and metal sheet wall cladding and roof. Ground water was encountered at 3m deep, while the build called for 6-7m ground piers. This posed a serious obstacle to be overcome, which we solved via the implementation of metal pier liners and the use of a sucker truck along with tremie line for concrete placement. The project was delivered 1 week ahead of program and to our client’s satisfaction.
