Rapid was engaged by Sydney Trains to deliver Heritage remediation, stabilisation and preservation works to Epping Railway Traction Substation. The substation is one of only two remaining Type B-II substations still in operation, of an original nine constructed across the network 100 years ago. The scope of work involved full replacement of all roof tiles, replacement of gutters and downpipes, replacement of timber eaves, and internal and external painting. Work was delivered across multiple rail corridor possession weekends and completed in June 2023.
