Working in the rail corridor, adjacent to Glenfield Railway Station, work involved refurbishment and upgrade to the Glenfield Junction Signalling and Communications Building, including installation of custom designed fire rated doors and frames; new fire rated partitions and a storage room; upgrades to the external building fabric; reconfiguration of door openings throughout the building; installation of new ducted air-conditioning system and fire alarm system; upgrade to roof gutter and downpipe systems; and installation of new lighting, electrical and distribution systems. All works were conducted while existing signalling and communications equipment continued to operate and the rail corridor remained in full use.
