In October 2023 Rapid completed delivering essential improvement works to facilitate safe work crew and engineering access to the Illawarra Rail Line rail corridor, at various locations within the Royal National Park between Sydney and Wollongong. The work included remedial works to access roads and paths, and the creation of new bushland access stairs of concrete, local rock, and timber sleeper retaining styles. The works support Sydney Trains in the ongoing assessment and maintenance of essential infrastructure crucial to the smooth running of passenger and freight services along the corridor.
